Pool Table Sizes

Pool Table Size Basics

Most pool tables used in the United States are referred to as pocket billiards tables which have 6 pockets, one in each corner and one in the middle of the long rails of the pool table on each side. The most common sizes are:

– 7 Foot (measuring 7 foot by 3 1/2 foot)
– 8 Foot (measuring 8 foot by 4 foot)
– 8 1/2 ft (measuring 8 1/2 foot by 4 1/4 foot)
– 9 foot (measuring 9 foot by 4 1/2 foot)

Tournament size pool tables are either 8 foot tables or 9 foot tables according to the World Pool-Billiard Association
